These are definitely spectacular caustics...
But in a couple of years, when you have your 64 core 'puter, then you won't mind...

the caustics pleasantly surprised me to be honest! they look smokey! and they are all real, i haven't added anything in photoshop just colour correction etc.

So you added noise afterwards... This tells me that, had you decided to use the "natural" noise, you could have reached the same result in a fraction of the time.
