Inspiring stuff, i especially like the use of SP on the chains, very creative.

Maybe stick a rusty toolbox and some spanners in there?

Next round. I added the pipe and valve on the left. I tried replacing the chain links but they ended up to thin. The next step is to texture the pipe on the floor. I ended up doing the UV for it in a separate application. It's in the queue for rendering. After that, I think I'll go for some more lighting, some narrow strips of light, as from a skylight.

Textured the pipe, let it render for 12 hours.

:gj: Chris...

Can't you give a short tutorial on how you've managed to texture the pipes that well...
Everybody knows that SU is lacking UV-mapping, but you seem to have managed it very well... ;)

I presume it was UVmapped in Wings3D, Chris appears to be an expert in modeling with this program... but I of course am not 100% sure.

Half yes, half no. 8-) Wings3D does have some great UV mapping tools, so it's always a good suggestion. The problem is getting the geometry out of SU (unless you have pro). I use the obj importer ruby (I think by TIG?) to get the geometry back into SketchUp (unless, I suppose, you have pro).
