Having trouble with your license?  Here is some help to get you up and running as fast as possible.

About Twilight Render licensing

Each computer running Twilight Render needs its own unique license.  It is important to remember that you can not use a license code from one computer on a different computer!  You will have to follow the activation instructions on each computer separately. 

In order to create a license for your computer, Twilight Render must be able to identify that computer and associate it with the license code.  That is why you have to create a license request file and email it to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .  Without that file, we can not issue a license.

Getting a license

Once you have completed your purchase through our online store, you will receive activation instructions.  The instructions are automatically sent out, so if you don't receive your instructions within an hour, check your spam / junk mail filters.  If it's not there, email us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .  Once you receive the instructions, complete them and email us the activation request file.  After that, we will send you your license.  It may take up to 24 hours to receive your license after sending us the activation file, however it is normally much less.

Having trouble with the activation instructions?

If you are having trouble understanding the activation instructions you received by email, please consult the following list.

1. Launch SketchUp
2. In SketchUp's main menu, select Plugins
   1. From Plugins, select Twilight
   2. From Twilight, select Options
3. When the Options window opens, you should see the About screen.  If not, click on About on the left side of the Options window.
4. Click on the Request License button
5. A popup will open asking for your email address.  Please enter the email address used when your made your Twilight Render purchase.  Then click OK.
6. You will be asked to save the license request file.  This is the file you must email to us, so save it somewhere you can find it.  We suggest you save it to your desktop.
7. After selecting the location to save your license request file, click Save.
8. A popup will open notifying you that your request has been saved.
9. Close SketchUp
10. Open your email and compose a new email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
11. Attach the license request file that you saved in steps 6 & 7.  If you followed our suggestion, it should be on your desktop and is probably called twilightrequest.lic.
    1. DO NOT OPEN THE LICENSE REQUEST FILE.  Just attach it to your email
12. Send the email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
13. After receiving your email we will use the attached license request file to create a license code.  We will then email you with the code.

After you receive the email containing your license code, follow the directions in the email to complete your activation.  If you are having trouble with the instructions, consult the following list.

1. Launch SketchUp
2. In SketchUp's main menu, select Plugins
   1. From Plugins, select Twilight
   2. From Twilight, select Options
3. When the Options window opens, you should see the About screen.  If not, click on About on the left side of the Options window.
4. Click on the Activate Twilight button
5. A popup will open asking you to enter your Activation Codeand email.
   1. Copy the activation code from the email you received.  Make sure to only copy the code!
   2. Paste the code into the text box below the Activation Code label
   3. Copy the activation email address from the email you received and paste the email address into the text box below the Activation Email label
   4. Click OK
6. If your activation was successful, a popup will notify you that your copy of Twilight Render has been successfully activated.
7. If there was a problem or error during the activation, a popup will notify you of the error.  Contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and tell us what the error was.
   1. Remember, each license code will only work on the computer used to create the license request file.  It can not be used on another computer
