flame material/shape needs work.
not a bad scene! the red glass balls next to the horse seem like they would be 'stronger' if they had a purpose, were real objects of some sort. it's a very CG thing to have just random spheres in a rendering.
model at base of candle stick could be improved... seems to melt into table top.

Just changed the HDR background with a bigger resolution one and played a little with the light(s).
I know there are (a lot of) things to be improved, but had no time to further work on it

I like the wax. I think it looks a lot better, so I'm glad to see that it actually does look good!

The lighting definitely needs something, the horse is just a little hard to see. The background hdr needs to be higher resolution too because it's really pixelated.

The same scene, this time using a hdr (made also with TWL) from another old project of mine.
For this one I used the native TWL wax for the candle material and another wood for the table.
It looks better to me, except the flame which appears somehow odd (didn't have the patience to modify the light settings ).

It was lighted but I wasn't satisfied with the global scene lighting modification it brought, so I spited on my fingers and... voila!
