Re: Max Rendering Size
...My render will be used on a building sign of 2,5 m x 4 m. What size should have the render? Miguel posted a sort of calculation of needed pixel sizes or various purposes here . According to this, somewhere around 2,500x4,000 pixels (actually somewhere around 2,150x3,440) should be enough (which ...

Re: SketchUV plugin released
FYI: many of the exporter plugins will "explode" distorted, single images into zillions of image pieces (this is a "feature" - a sort of difference between SU UV mapping and other file formats' UV mapping) unless you triangulate the surfaces (Dale has built in a special triangula...

Thanks Fletch, too. That's what I also thought first but was not sure.

Re: Free trial - SP animation
Thanks a lot. I am a bit confused now however. By exporting, do you mean exporting to an image sequence (i.e. animation) or exporting to XML for Kerkythea? (I would guess this latter one as that sounds to be logical).

Free trial - SP animation
Hi guys, I (more exactly a guy in the Hungarian SCF subforum) have a question: can the free trial version export SketchyPhysics animation (and animation in general of course)? He insists that he could not find out how but of course it can be either user error or simply the lack of understanding the ...

Re: Display the wrong material
Can you show us a simple SU 2D output with monochrome face style?
If you have screwed your model with lots of reversed faces and group/component materials, I have collected a couple of plugins you can use to "fix" it (obviously after you fixed face orientation first of all).

Re: New user
As the title suggests, I'm a new user and just purchased my licence today. I can't believe what you are giving away for $99, this rendering program is superb! Only run 2 renders off it so far and already very impressed with the results and havent really added realistic materials to my scene yet. Ve...

Re: Problem with warped texture
Hm. This should not actually happen since Twilight can perfectly render distorted textures (quite exceptionally, too, I should add). Making unique is an ultimate and desperate step that can be a cure of many things but of course, it introduces new materials and additional hassle to tweak them. How d...

Re: A Roman chapel
You mean "she" as the chapel or "she" as that 3D figurine? :) If the chapel, well, that's what we found. The walls are 1.3 metre thick and the buttresses vary between 1.1 and 1.3, too. Unusually thick walls (and buttresses) for such a rather small chapel but who knows what were i...
