Another attempt at Storefront
Hello all, this is an update on this building I've been working on and off for a while. I'm pleased with most of it except the tree and greenery in the foreground which is added in gimp. But I think I've looked at it too long as I can't figure out what exactly is wrong with it. Just isn't 'right'. A...

Re: Windows too dark
Thank you for the advice Fletch, I finally was able to get back to this project and changed the scene a little and added some foliage in The Gimp (I'm finally catching on to The Gimp a little). I think it still needs more work but definitely an improvement.

Lost 'render selected objects' box
Early on when I downloaded twilight, when asked to render selected objects I said 'no' and checked the box that said don't ask me again (oops) not realizing that I would need this. Now the box doesn't pop up. How do I get this back? Thanks!

Re: Sunshine without the sun
dereeei, this is how I set up the screen on this model. Looks a little mickey mouse but seems to do the trick. The sun is enabled and the sky brightness is at zero. I have invisible light emitters hovering over the suite as well but turned them off so you can see the model.

Re: Sunshine without the sun
So this rendering was done by using the black screen and adding some blue faces, not behind the windows but below (horizontal) to give the idea of daylight as opposed to black background showing through yet sun streaming in which wouldn't make sense. This is all done in twilight, no post production....

Re: Sunshine without the sun
This is the problem. I have been attempting to learn The Gimp. Way over my head but realize that I need to know how to use it to be really successful. In this year I have taught myself how to use sketchup, now twilight and attempting the Gimp. Huge learning curve! I've tried the black screen again a...

Re: Sunshine without the sun
I tried it with the black screen and turned on the sun but my problem is the balcony. I can't put the screen at the top of the wall or it will block the balcony from the camera. Will keep trying. Here is another layout with the same idea (I'm working on several suites all with the black background)....

Sunshine without the sun
In this model, I have light emitters for all light sources. I would like to have sunshine on the floor coming in from the windows to make it look more realistic. How would I achieve this without the sun turned on?
