Colour settings on different computers?
Hello all, I am working on two different computers to do my renderings as I take work home with me. When I'm at home my rendering looks quite different then at work. The renderings look so over-exposed at home while they look fine at work. I don't want to send out a finished product that I think loo...

Re: Windows too dark
Fletch, I used one of your suggestions on the glass, I lightened the frame and put some cars in the parking lot to reflect some interest. I think it looks better but still needs some work. I'm working on two buildings and this is the other one.

3d plan view of suite
Hi all, this is a plan view of the suite that I posted earlier (not sure how to attach the link to that post). Any suggestions to make this better? (Actual layout of suite is not in my control, was designed by other). Thanks for looking!

Organizing texture files
Hi there, I hope this isn't too dumb a question, but I was wondering how you all organize your material/texture/bump map files. I have been saving different files in one folder on my computer but my dilemma is that when I want to work on a project from home I usually just email myself the sketchup f...

Re: Windows too dark
I did use the common architectural glass from the library. I tried some different materials such as porcelain which brightened it up but just didn't look realistic enough. My other issue I can't seem to find a fix for is the way the asphalt is tiled. I searched through the forum but couldn't find an...

Windows too dark
I'm slowly catching on to this Twilight, so much to learn but I'm really loving it! This project is a work in progress and there are many things I'm trying to fix. The biggest challenge I'm finding is the windows being too dark. In reality the reflection should show a large parking lot, not a lot of...

Re: Small suite (my first rendering)
Thanks to this excellent forum I was able to figure out that some of my weird shadows were because I had some faces reversed. Played around with different kind of lights but still not happy with them. Also, you can see the reflection of the light emitter in the glass behind the kitchen. Learning lot...

Re: Small suite (my first rendering)
I've added the windows behind the camera. In reality the windows are much closer to the space but in order to get the whole suite in the shot I cheated and made the room longer. I still have a strange shadow in the bedroom behind the lamp which I haven't figured out where it's coming from.
