Re: Water - Swimming Pool too dark

It looks right to me. it seems on the second one you've given it too strong a color so it looks like colored water. I think the other thing, the bottom of the pool is too perfect white. Either way a very small amount of blue would give the right effect. an interesting design, and the ivy looks great.

Re: Exterior Practice

I often just crop out foreground after I make the image, if I don't like it. It just seems you are looking at a lot of grass and pavement when the focus is supposedly the house. This kind of of roof can and has been done without gutters, The "gutter" is a low swale inside of the fascia. It would sti...

Re: Exterior Practice

Oh, and the tree shadow! :gj:

Although, to add something constructive: Perhaps less foreground would work? and this design might be interesting to see in another angle.

Re: 60's Ranch

Cool.

I think you just need a car in there and some foreground shadows or dog in the yard and done!

Re: Logo on glass

Looks great! Why "between" the glass--to keep it light? Double pane, is that 2 surfaces or 4? Actually I can never know until I try it in a render. Sometimes two sides to glass gives doubled reflections that look blurred or not enough clarity. Other times it seems to help. But I never do four surfac...

Re: My own future house

I second the Photoshop grass approach. I am sometimes amazed, just grabbing a photo of a grassy hillside or even a whole scene off the internet or from my own photos, how it can work with my model. It takes, perhaps, an eye for scale and perspective, and sometimes you have to correct colors of model...
