Re: OLD WORK- neo-classic living room interior

For lampshades and light bulbs create a small test render scene so that you can quickly test your light without all of the other lights and information - you will greatly increase your learning speed. Try the Templates>Translucent>Shade template. (lamp shade) Try the settings :Translucence 100%, se...

Re: OLD WORK- neo-classic living room interior

Very good! :^: The light shades for lamps and the glass material for the glass candle light bulbs needs work. When you get those figured out, it will be very good indeed, and probably will clean up in rendering more quickly. Personally the wrinkled rug is distracting my eye when I look at the image...

Re: LANDSCAPE PRACTICE : exterior daylight

If the tree looks right to you, I would leave it there. It is only foreign to us because we have foreign eyes. You can take your paving texture into photoshop and work it to be better. Or you can seek another better texture or go take a photo of the texture you need. Taking photos of commonly used ...

Re: LANDSCAPE PRACTICE : exterior daylight

Thought there was something odd about the umbrella also. My eye is having a hard time making out what is umbrella and what is roof behind it ? Agree with Fletch about the pavers being to "busy".I'd be inclined to try the render with just a good asphalt texture. Also his comments about the ...

Re: LANDSCAPE PRACTICE : exterior daylight

like this ahhhh okay. now i understand. the tree is not photoshoped. that's a 3D model. so maybe i could either use a different tree or remove it all-together. as for the umbrella, it must be something to do with my material settings so i will work on it. much appreciated for the valuable feedback :)

The main problem is the repetitive texture on the ground for the paving stones.
Next, is odd lighting under the umbrella.
much appreciated for the feedback Fletch. but do enlighten me a bit more on the odd lighting under the umbrella.

Re: Bedroom interior

I like it a lot. The overall feel of the space is pretty darn good. That said I think there are a few minor tweaks that would elevate it even more. Try Fletch's advice on the lampshades , it really makes a difference. Not quite understanding the two light fixtures high on the wall above the bed. Th...
