Re: Washtub shot
I have been thinking about that, but the whole point of this is just learning stuff I can't do yet considering this, it would be "cheating" under these circumstances (Besides, there are about 25m2 of them tiles sized about 20cm x 25cm)

Re: Washtub shot
Yes, I have downloaded and imported it. Of course looked nowhere that good as I was playing with it.. Seems legit. I assume, that I woulkd need to put another layer on it to achieve the grout then? (In your render there is none) Still on it, using the layering from Chris' material to get mine right ...

Re: Washtub shot
You think? to me it does not yet look right just where I marked it. Actually I try to figure out, where to put the diffrent maps (I know where the normal map goes and the specularity. The bump as well, but where should I insert the occlusion map?) I am hell of confused with some parts of the tutoria...

Re: Washtub shot
They are a texture. It is all a part of a model of a whole condo (so I can't really afford to model them, or should I?). I kind of know, what I need to do, but not really how to get there (regarding the tiles). here is a closer and better shot at the tiles I had in mind (still not really, I kind of ...

Re: Washtub shot
Thanks. Yeah, i will need to remodel the tub anyway same goes for beveling the edges of the table. The tiles are far from good, but now that I can access deep editor I will fiddle with them as well (basically i would only like to have the joints beveled, not so much bump on the face - they should be...

So, that is as far as I get for now. Please comment and help me improve. Also, please give a comment if one can still see smudges from the postpro, as I have great issues with my monitor calibration - what looks good already on mine looks like a big pile of sh..eer poverty on some other monitors. I ...

Re: Render times & are they normal?
Hello guys, sorry for not having updated you for so long. Though you might not really need the final thought, since you are the experts, maybe someone will benefit of all the hints you gave me. First off, it only took me so long, since I was checking every single model I was experiencing trouble wit...

Re: Render times & are they normal?
Probably also not really needed given a sleek working habit. I doubt that I exceed 7, but I have not given it any attention in this aspect. Managing so many lvls would be cumbersome somehow
I will look into that as soon as I get back home.
