Re: LED LIGHTS

Loving this! I say "loving" because in all honesty I have not seen the entire video as yet. Just not enough hours in the day to accomplish everything one needs to get done. Thinking my Twilight interface does not look exactly the same though? My version is from 2013, (2.0) so methinks perc...

Re: LED LIGHTS

Thank you Fletch, for now and all your help in the past and hopefully future. It's wonderful to know you have someone you can depend on that you know will come to your aid. A Twilight security blanket.
Cheers!

Re: LED LIGHTS

No link - it's all local on my drive. I am paranoid about working online, and which is why when I do get the latest SU I plan on getting the pro version which means I don't have to work online. I am one of those people who keeps a closeable slot over the camera on my Mac.

Re: LED LIGHTS

Thank you Fletch! I ended up by having to kinda jerry rig it, and add some glow in Photoshop, But I did experiment and tried several of the Twilight materials until I found one that sort of worked. Not realistic enough for my taste, but it sufficed. And that's another thing... I don't always remembe...

Re: LED LIGHTS

As usual I knew I could count on your help Fletch. The problem here, and I have not actually looked at the videos as yet, still waking up... is that I am using an older version of SketchUp. I love SU but I don't use it often enough to make the cost of the newest versions financially faesible. I will...

LED LIGHTS

Pulling out my hair. I have tried virtually every material setting I can think of, and cannot seem to find a way to light an LED panel. Any help please? One of the materials I tried was emitter, and while I know that takes a long time to render, I still can't seem to get that LED look that I need. T...

Re: No applied lighting showing in render

I would be terrified to show you how bad I really am. Self taught and really atrocious. I tried years and years ago to actually learn from a real teacher how to work in SU, but I signed up for classes at our local community college just to have them cancel the classes both times that I tried, due to...

Re: No applied lighting showing in render

Yes I checked faces, but genius! The template I was using was much too bright. Hard sometimes to know when you are dealing with things like glitter and sequins which template to use. For me it has always been trial and error. More error and what a trial! Thank you :)

Screenshot 2021-02-09 at 1.55.34 pm.png Screenshot 2021-02-09 at 1.50.55 pm.png I don't give up easily, so making a little progress, (low preset so grainy) but now a new problem! Why is the texture of the icicles not showing up in the render please? I have reversed the faces and which is usually th...
