Re: HDR output.

The image works in Picturnaut (an HDR image viewer) and in HDRShop. But you are right, it does open black in Gimp. Which is weird because when I render a simple image, it opens fine in Gimp. When I resave the image in HDRShop (with no editing, just resave), it opens fine in Gimp. So there is definit...

Re: HDR output.

That's weird. I just tried it. I did see a few artifacts, but overall it imported into Gimp (2.10.8) just fine.

Re: Issues with material on surface

If you are able to post the scene that would be helpful. It's likely that this is a back face vs front face issue.

Re: HDR output.

The HDR output is not bracketed exposure, as you have pointed out. What it is is essentially raw output. HDR is "High Dynamic Range"; this doesn't mean it has multiple levels of exposure, it means the image data is not constrained to the standard RGB [255, 255, 255] range. It is what is called "floa...

Using MLT (which is the mechanism used in the Interior/Interior+ presets) ignores the 'Fake' emitter setting and always renders as light emitting. (It also ignores disabling shadow casting.)

Thanks for the link. We'll check it out.

You always have to be careful with Warehouse components. Some of those have weird stuff in them.

Re: installation issues with 32 bit and 64 bit Mac

Oh, is that error message from V1 then? That would make sense. To my knowledge SketchUp 2015 on OSX was only ever released as 64 bit. That said, looking at an old Mac article, the Intel Core Duo is only 32 bit but the Intel Core 2 Duo is 64 bit. https://www.macobserver.com/tips/how-to/mac-32-bit-64-...

Re: installation issues with 32 bit and 64 bit Mac

Where did you get your download? The file naming in the error log that you posted isn't typical for our distribution of Twilight Render on OSX.

Re: I see the sky when I render

Do you have Section Plane rendering enabled? If so, turn it off and try again and see if that makes a difference.

Otherwise, if you can send use the scene we can take a look at it.
