Re: Shadows are shifted

That is strange. What kind of material are you using?

Re: Shadows are shifted

I recommend using a different render method. Try Interior. The Low/High methods are "biased" and that means they use certain assumptions and the thin layers may be conflicting with that. Interior on the hand is more of a direct evaluation and you should get more accurate lighting results.

Re: Question/Discussion about DOF physics over reflections.

I would expect the reflection to be blurred. However, if you are doing a render of this situation and you use the "Depth Render" trick to create your blurred depth of field, you would get crisp reflections.

Re: Demo mode - Hobby version?

That sounds like Twilight Render V1. V2 doesn't have a watermark ever.

Can you post a screenshot?

Re: Edit Lights menu not working

Why do you think it's not working? If there are no lights listed, it's probably because there are no lights in the scene. Try following the steps to add a light, and then see if it shows up in the menu. One thing to note is that, in recent releases, we removed supported for converting old V1 scenes....

Re: Average Rendering Time on a 2017 MacBook Air Dual Core i5?

The Interior render methods are done when you are satisfied with them. The 10,000 iteration limit is just a really big number to make sure it is always "enough". Chances are, your image was done a long time ago. :D

Re: Install Error

First off, you are going to have to delete any "twilight" files that got installed into your SketchUp plugins folder. The ones from the .rbz are for Mac OS only and if you have them installed, they will screw up the installation. Once you've cleaned that up, yes, just run the windows installer and a...

Re: Install Error

Twilight Render V1 is not compatible with 64 bit applications, which SU 2020 is. You can not use it with any version of SketchUp after SU 2015. The RBZ installer is only valid for Mac OS. You can not use it on Windows. You must download and install the Windows installer for Twilight Render, found on...

Re: Rendering with Always_face_camera component option

Components are treated as a single object with multiple copies. Every copy must be identical. Many render and graphics engines support this idea and it is typically referred to as "Instancing" (multiple instances of the same exact thing). SketchUp's Component Instances sort of blur the line here. It...

Re: FastForward Denoising is now available

In addition to what Fletch said, check the Log (the button right above the denoiser settings that says "Log"). If you are running out of memory, or encountering some other GPU error, it will display it in the log.
