Re: Twilight Render V2 Pro - Crashing on certain actions
Thank you for the report. All of those features that you mentioned do utilize internet access. It seems probable that the issue has to do with being able to access the internet. Obviously we don't want Sketchup to crash just because it can't access a certain resource, so that is something we need to...

Re: Force light to load IES data via Ruby
You are correct in that. Twilight Render actually stores the light data directly into the scene (kind of like how SketchUp stores images that it uses as textures). So changing the path isn't going to update the data. Can you describe a bit of your workflow? Maybe we can expose a command via Twilight...

Re: material problem
SketchUp supports textures on the front face, back face, and applied to a group / component. But TWR only renders one material per face. Likely you have materials applied to both back face and front face, or back face and group. Best practice is to only apply a material to the front face and always ...

Re: Background Problem
Ultimately I don't think there is a bug here. While the behavior might be unexpected, it is actually how it should work. When you are rendering a parallel projection, it's kind of an "unnatural" viewpoint (objects don't decrease in size with distance). So trying to apply that viewpoint to ...

Re: Denoiser - I don't see any difference
I would say it's pretty certain that the Denoiser isn't running successfully. The first image doesn't look any different than the second. I recommend that you test the function of the Denoiser first. Run a very simple scene, maybe 800x600 of just the sky and a simple model. Make sure you run with In...

Re: Background Problem
Hi Dave, So I can confirm that, yes, using the Parallel Projection camera (also known as orthographic projection) with a spherical sky will produce the results you see. This is undoubtedly because the way a spherical sky is mapped into the 3D world just isn't compatible with the idea of parallel pro...
