Re: Enamel Pin Challenge

Hey Tuna, Looking very nice! I hope everyone will right-click image and view at original size. :^: I think you can see on real enamel lapel pins that the enamel coating will "cup" or make a "meniscus" at the edges where it touches the metal sides. If this were carefully modeled, I think the r...

Re: Lighting editor and Template editor

Thanks for the input, Peter. :hat: We are always open to suggestions. It would be nice to have a record in the template editor of which template a current material setting is based on. It could note "(modified)" if the user changed the settings after choosing a template. This is how it should be wor...

Re: Futurama - Planet Express - Enamel Pin

Excellent progress - definitely gallery worthy. :^:

I'd be interested to see other artists' renderings of this pin, if you shared the file here for them to try, we could all learn something about lighting/materials. Great little model. :^:

Re: Futurama - Planet Express - Enamel Pin

The metal looks excellent now, the other textures are good - I was expecting some reflections in the plastic colors of the pin, but I guess you have a very matte finish plastic for some reason? Looking great! We like any kind of work done with Twilight Render Plugin for SketchUp here on the fourm. W...

Re: Surface colours reflecting across other surfaces

Yes, of course you can desaturate the texture colors in any photo editor. It's simply a little slower process since it requires reloading the texture into the scene after editing. See the .gif above, there should be that option in Make - at least it was always there in the past, if I remember correc...

Re: Low light interior

Agree with Burkules with the walls/corners comment. The book shelf looks tiny compared to the big heavy books.

Other than these small items, it's a very strong image. :!: :D
