Can anyine advise how to use lighting to create more definition in a model (see attached image). The model is using recessed panelled doors (panel set in by 10mm) but the cabinet fronts looks very flat in the image. Painting faces in a grouped object

When using a simple colour for a component (kitchen cabinet) is it necessary to just add a paint colour the visible faces ?
It will be easier for me to apply the material to the whole grouped component as its one click.
How will this affect the render ?
