Re: Black Sky rendering issues
Thanks for all the help. I I think I finally have resolved the issue, at least to my satisfaction. It was pretty much what I stated in my last post. With regard to background images, I always intended to use one. I did not know, however, that having a background would actually speed up my renders. A...

Re: Black Sky rendering issues
UPDATE! I started playing around with a different method of rendering this. Backgorund set to black, 3m x 3m emitter a little ways "offscreen", render it all on Interior Progressive (Easy09). Results look promising so far. I figured it was a case of Cranio-Rectal Implantation on my part, ...

Re: Black Sky rendering issues
Well, the upload attachment option is there now. As far as previously, I have no idea if it was there or not. I could have overlooked it, who knows. Anyway, yeah progressive is my favorite way of doing things as far as a final render. Learning any new program is frustrating... calm is advised Yes it...

Re: Black Sky rendering issues
Yeah, thanks. Definitely getting good results with your model, not so good with my own, and occasionaly running into instability issues, such as the entire background going neon green, and the model acquiring a green cast. I have run the plugin 'stray lines', as well as cleaning up all extraneous ge...

Re: Black Sky rendering issues
Ok, Thanks Fletch. The scene you posted illustrates the kind of lighting effects I am looking for, but I need sharper shadows, and for some reason, Light intensity just doesn't seem to make a difference. I will happily post a scene for you. Do you want the .skp, or just one of the completed renders?...

Re: Black Sky rendering issues
Thanks. X-Files fan...What can I say? Set the "Sky Color" to black, or almost black. Set the Sky to "Spherical Sky" and load any spherical sky image you have found, such as a starry space sky, etc. Or set the Sky "Background Color" to black. Increase the power of the sk...

Black Sky rendering issues
Ok. still fairly new to Twilight, just got a new PC (3.06 GHz) and still having difficulty doing the renders I need to for the projects I am working on (Sci-Fi illustrations). I need to be able to render things with a very bright, harsh light, deep sharp-edged shadows and a black sky. How do I do th...
