Downloaded .skp file, rendered it, took screen shot: same result.Fletch wrote:Hi Bob! fast machine. looks like you may have accidentally tweaked the camera before running the test, which will skew results. Can you maybe give it another shot?

Re: Integrated Processing Facility - Space Launch Complex 6
well this is a really interesting workplace for sure. :) is modelling the site in Sketchup part of your job or are you just enthusiastic? i was wondering if the SLC is using Sketchup for design/development? The graphics part of my job is to model our facilities and the customer equipment to, for ex...

Re: Integrated Processing Facility - Space Launch Complex 6
Yes, I work for Spaceport Systems International. The building end-to-end is approximately 300' and 100' high (the large tower goes up to 250'). The structure to the right is not a "hangar": it was developed for the Space Shuttle and its only purpose was to be a wind break (Lot's of wind at...

Integrated Processing Facility - Space Launch Complex 6
This is my model of the Integrated Processing Facility - Space Launch Complex 6 at Vandenberg AFB, CA. Spacecraft are processed in this building, encapsulated in a fairing and transported to the launch pad. The first is a night view of the west entrance. The second is a day view of the entire facili...

Re: Can't get the right scale
Here's part of a WIP where I've incorporated "Concrete_by_dentex", scaled it and then took the diffuse map into PS and lightened it to more nearly match reality.

Works like a charm. Thanks, FletchFletch wrote:in the SU material dialog, click the chain link that links the width to height ratio.
wait a second.
sometimes it takes a while for the link to break... be patient.
then type in the correct width and height for the texture.

Can't get the right scale
I obtained the diffuse, specular and bump maps from Arroway. Under "Info" it indicated that the Real size was 49.2 ft x 14.8 ft. Using the Material Editor I tried to apply this texture to my wall, but the scale is all wrong. I made a 49.2 ft x 14.8 ft. wall and the scale was still not righ...
