Re: Combat Knife - Puddle/Water Layering Experiement

Domo Arigato, gozaimasu, Fletch-sensei! It is much appreciated. :hat: @Tuna: Nice work! I probably should have included a screenshot of the mesh I used, like you did. So you found that Bowie knife in the warehouse. Did it require much cleanup? I ask because I stopped using anything from the warehous...

Re: Combat Knife - Puddle/Water Layering Experiement

Here's the example render. Settings below. On a separate note; Is there anyway to increase the allowable file size for uploads? Every single file I try to post seems to be disallowed because it's over 1.1MB in size, (which is actually rather small these days), forcing me to save as jpg and even then...

Re: Combat Knife - Puddle/Water Layering Experiement

jxmoss; What stands out right away to my eye is the texture size of your ground / dirt texture. It's set to too small a size. perhaps scale it up a bit so it looks like a few small green plants on mostly dirt, rather than a slightly patchy google sketchup grass texture. Also, the height of the dirt ...

NIce work, Tuna! Definite 1960's /1970's feel to it. Looks great, and you made a great choice with the lighting and post pro. Awesome!

Re: Twilight only for Sketchup pro and old make now?

Tucson, actually! but hai, there is bit of connection. I spent good amount of time in Kyoto many years ago, before making my way to Arizona by way of Britain, I mean, Airstrip One. :D

I also spent some time in Aki, and Shibuya, but that was a rare treat.

I hope you're enjoying Chiba!

Then we are Philistines together, Mike! I share your disdain for socialist media. That said, I do understand why people including the TWR crew, use it.

More importantly, congratulations, Tuna!

Re: Which Render present?

This is good advice Fletch is giving here. Unfortunately, once in awhile you will run into cases like trying to sell prints-on-demand through a site like ArtStation. They insist that your images be 300dpi, MINIMUM resolution, and when you select (or try to select) a print size for your image which w...

Re: Twilight only for Sketchup pro and old make now?

I understand the reasons Trimble has foir making their choices. Profit has a strong influence. That said, I think their choices are reprehensible. I'm a 2017 Pro user and I'm sticking with SU 2017 Pro for now. In a few years? Who knows? The future has yet to be written. The problem with SU has been ...

Arigato gozaimashita, Fletch! Very kind of you. :hat: :rspkt:

Glad you like the render! It's a lot of fun showing the worlds I see in my dreams...
