Re: Sunset scene

Thanks, Mike! That's a huge compliment, I really enjoyed the prequels (there were no later films... ) and they do some-times influence my modeling style. Thanks also for the support. I've been living with MS for a few years, and I've found I can live with it through determination and optimism....

Re: Sunset scene

Thanks Rick! This was a fun render to do, even if setup was a pain. Skatter's UI  is sometimes less than helpful, but the results are worth it. 8-) I've got a couple other similarly large pieces I'm working on, one over two million polys; the other over four million. If someone had tol...

Sunset scene

Here's a little something I finished this morning.. This is after 125 passes, and before PostPro. I'll update this thread with the postpro image when I get it done. Night Flight 6 .jpg Yeah, I know, what's Shinseiko doing in the studio on a weekend? TL;DR of it? Needed an escape from the real world ...

Re: Aren't these just beautiful?

RTDLabs just beautifully summed up my thoughts on Operating Systems, and software in general! Planned obsolescence is an obscenity, even if I do understand the economic decisions behind it...  Oh, and those bulbs are gorgeous. I think I could actually render something like that, (in Twi...

Re: Two pieces to share

Hai! That was part of the reason I'm not happy with the image. That was bad DoF on my part. The glass itself is actually one of my better prop models, and (usually) renders out nicely. I'm still figuring out DoF, messed it up on this one, and didn't have time for another render, so I posted this one...

Re: tree nest

That looks comfortable! Beautifully done render of a nice cozy space. I like the table on a track idea, and the lighting does a great job of setting the mood! :gj:
