SHADOW DISCREPANCY

I had this issue a few years ago and it has surfaced again today on a model of a commercial building.

I whipped up a quick model to show the differences.

Lots of Slats

Early renders of a mixed use commercial building incorporating a Fitness Centre.

Aluminium slats provide valuable shade to a white polycarbonate wall behind and add a textural element to the building.

I have had to cheat with the Polycarbonate material to keep render times to something sensible.

Re: A DOUBLE W.I.P

Thanks mate. Thank you so much for your comprehensive response. GINKGO renders are great! PS. Don't forget to make leaves lying on the ground. You are welcome mate. Actually tried Skattering leaves, but wasn't happy with the result, so I turned that Skatter layer off. Will give it another shot when...

Re: A DOUBLE W.I.P

:rspkt: How long does rendering take to achieve this quality ? Thanks mate. Actually, the render quality could be much better because I generally only render these scenes for 10-12 passes on Easy 08. They would look much nicer if I let them run for longer, But what it does tell me is that Twilight ...
