Use Photoshop or Gimp to select by colour then 'Colorise' ?
May need to adjust the threshold of the selection tool to pick up the blue at the faded edges

Re: So much glass
Thanks for your feedback guys, sorry for the late reply, I've been away.
Alvydas- thanks for the glass material, looks good- I will try to figure out how to adjust the opacity and reflection
Fletch- I don't have a test model as such, I will try Alvydas' glass on my model and repost later
Thanks

So much glass
I am a bit confused as to which glass templates to use for backlit glass cabinets with glass shelves and whether they should have thickness or not. Having searched the forums some of the methods suggested may now be out of date, and we now also have some new glass templates. I am trying to nail down...

Re: Bevel Modifier - Bump Map Question
You need to first set up layers under bump maps so you can have more than one type of map. Right click on 'Bump' then select 'Layers',(it will ask if you want to replace whatever was there before, be it your bevel or bump map,- say yes) right click on 'Bump layers', then you can add bevel and then b...

Re: Render to Texture
Also, having played with the examples, it occurs to me that the way Sketchup adjusts shading in the viewport works against you at some angles. The RTT lighting is good but on some surfaces it gets changed by SU as you rotate the model. For example the window sill has bright sunlight falling on it, w...

Re: Render to Texture
Thanks Fletch
I saw the link to the tutorial after my last post. Typical me. Only read about half of it so far, but I get the point about reflective materials and the position of reflections relative to viewpoint- but would think subtle bump maps could be ok. Will give it a go.

Re: Render to Texture
Sounds like a solution, by carefully choosing the back face colour. Can bump maps be used also?

Re: Render to Texture
Hi Chris That's actually not bad, everything has more 'presence' when you orbit the model. What render setting did you use? There are white halos around the cushions which come and go as you move around, but they are visible just as much in the Blender version. That comes down to the limitations of ...

Re: Render to Texture
Agreed, the Blender route is hugely time consuming and needs good knowledge of UV wrapping and baking. Lets see what happens.
Thanks
