Re: Two pieces to share

Thanks very much, Andrew! The compliments are very much appreciated, and the tip, well that's even more appreciated. I did not know about that kind of render being an option, as I've never really paid much attention to the tech renders, other than alpha mask and light pass. I am very much going to g...

Re: Two pieces to share

Thank you al! :hat: Fletch, that means a lot to me, coming from you. Your advice has helped (even if I haven't always followed it) ! The next iteration of wrong artifact is likely to be a closeup, with somewhat different lighting so the detail of the dodecahedron can be better seen. Not much ...

Two pieces to share

First, please let me get this out of the way. I'm not exactly happy with it, but it's the best it's going to get without doing an entirely new scene, and personal work gets second priority. Still I did promise it soon, so here is : The Wrong Artifact 2 Post Pro 1st Iteration small enough to upload.j...

Re: A little something I've been working on...

Thank you, everyone for the kind words! I hope you're all having a good day, whatever part of the world you're living in. :rspkt: @ Rick; Yes! That was what I was hoping to evoke! Force knows I hear that sound often enough. I live under one of teh approach paths for a USAF base in the SouthWest, and...

Re: Craps Anyone?

Thanks Fletch. I think I figured out why DoF hasn't been working very well for me. Largely a matter of scene size. Of course it doesn't help that I had the f-stop scale turned around backwards.

Anyway, sorry for hijacking your thread, Tuna!

Re: Craps Anyone?

You're welcome! If you do decide to rerun this one with DoF applied, I'll be very interested to hear what distances the elements of the render are at from the camera, and what f-stop you used. I'm still trying to figure out DoF in Twilight.

Re: A little something I've been working on...

Thanks, Tuna! When I got done with Post Pro on the Katana Flight image, I found the warm color palette causing me to think, "Well, Tuna will probably like this one!"

Re: A little something I've been working on...

Thanks Mike! Yeah, I tried rendering it that way originally, but completely lost all the marker lights, contrails, and so forth when they were on the lighter background of the sky. I do see what you mean about the lower aircraft of the distant pair being hard to see. Perhaps I should have moved it s...

A little something I've been working on...

...While waiting for IT to put my website back together after a certain low-rent hosting service wrecked it. Katana Flight at Sunset 2 Simple With DoF at 8 Small.jpg Background from HDRIHaven. The model is one I've been working on fro about six weeks, and gone through three (abandoned) iterations of...
