Country house extension
This is a project I've recently worked on and decided to have a go at rendering it. Been trying to think of a nice quick way to add the context to a property (garden etc). Does anyone ever just use a spherical image for the ground plane as in these images? Another option would be to crop out just th...

Re: Clay Render Issue
Image 2 and 3 were done within the same batch and are just a different view of the same model.
Image 1 was done in the second batch after changing the brick wall bump and nothing else.
Same window on all 3 images circled in blue.

Clay Render Issue
I've been rendering some images in colour and they've been working well and exactly as they should. I just tried rendering using the clay render option and it started messing up. The file has one model and 6 scenes which go around the outside of the property. I've been rendering all 6 scenes using b...

Re: V2 How Fast Are You - Official Twilight Scene - Bauhaus
Has anybody compared the same tests with V1 and if so, what sort of speed differences are there?

Re: Maximum Resolution
Yep, I did have "fit to view proportions" checked, completely missed that! Thanks I've seen some really low dpi's being used, but being told you can pretty much go up to whatever quality you like, it is tempting to push it too far! I think I'll keep it under 4000px wide as although Kerkyth...

Maximum Resolution
I might be producing an image soon that will be printed at a large size and resolution. After speaking with the printers, they've said their printers can print up to 1440dpi, which means a 1920 x 1080 image will be just over an inch wide  They did recommend sticking at 300dpi though for this ...

Re: Strange light plus render settings
Thanks for the quick reply Fletch!
One last question, some presets say "FG" and some say "Flare Fix". What does FG stand for?

Strange light plus render settings
Hi, I've just been rendering a model in which the whole model is white. I've now gone and added in one texture and so have switched the colours to an off white. I'm rendering the model as an animation with a hemispherical HDR sky. The render however has one element in which a strange light or flare ...
