There's an awkward light passthrough or reflection on the lampshade by the window, did you used a glass material for it?
I have to agree about the floor and the kitchen counter, you should even resize the floor texture to a smaller size.

Hi Laura, I came across with that problem too. I found that using the "old" lampshade material that come with Twilight Render and even using thickness for the lampshade, it's like it annul it self. You must therefore use one of the above listed materiaIs by Fletch, the Matte in your case, ...
