In case you haven't noticed, the first update to SU 8 is out, and its GOOD! The main thing is the shadow bug has been fixed -- also for us 64 bit Twilight users, SU has been made Large Address Aware so large models can utilize up to 4GB RAM :whoot: Complete update list here: http://sketchup.google.c...

A textured wall in the background has worked well for me...just make sure the lighting in the render matches the lighting in the background pic (should be easy for outer space 
)

The mirror plugin is great for mirroring something that isn't aligned to the axes...I just DL'd it recently and found it very useful
