It took about 5 minut (8 cores) to render each of the images below. The more I know it, the more I like it.

Nice work ! Maybe You should try some interpolation software ? Never done this, only heard about it but maybe it's worth to try ? From a quick search i found sth like this http://www.svp-team.com/ I wonder if and how it works.

To achieve the same result in COREL PHOTOPAINT follow Fletch instruction up to point 4 and then: 5. Open Corel Photoshop>Open "render" image. 6. Open "depth" image. 7. On the "render" image in Object Manager click on background and duplicate (CTRL+D), click on duplicate...
