Re: Hope chest.

Well done with the materials I think, :rspkt:
although can't tell what setting it's supposed to be. The wall and floor make me think it's indoors, but at the same time you have unobstructed sunlight coming in :! . But yea that's about the only thing.

Re: Ice cubes

Interesting, I never really thought of using something more opaque for the interior, but gum seems to look pretty ok. And it's not as resource-demanding as what I did, well done!

Re: Tips for night scene

Personally I think the sky looks good, maybe a bit bright for a night scene, but late evening I think it's perfect! Needless to say, the second render turned out ways better, the only thing I'd change is the intensity of the lights, they look a bit dim in the second one. And oh, don't forget ...

Re: New Projects

That's an interesting design, I like it :^: Did you come up with that one yourself?
And I gotta agree, SubD is a great plugin. Altho, not sure if I'm alone with this opinion, but I'd like a bit more versitility from if for that price...

Ice cubes

So, inspired by the "Take a sip" render by tuna57 I wanted to see if there's a good way to make realistic-looking ice cubes with TWR. From the renders that I've seen (not only on this forum), the ice cubes usually end up looking too dark, too murky, too clear or simply looks like chunks of...

Re: Have a Sip

Good one!
Ice cubes look a bit too clear imo, but those are indeed a pain in the butt to get right. I did some messing around myself to see what I'd end up with, but just couldn't make them look good :!

Re: Reading Room.

Looks alright, but there's room (no pun intended) for improvement. First, try adding a light at the armchair, maybe like a desk or floor lamp. That would make the image more interesting, plus draws you'r eye to what is the focus of the scene. Right now it is drawn to the window, which is the high-co...
