Re: Spherical sky bright idea...

Wow, that's a really clever idea. I especially like how you can use it to set the tone / sky color to something not necessarily in the image.

Of course, reflective surfaces won't look as good, reflecting a solid color. But for your purposes, it looks good!

Re: Sketchup7.1

I have a low-end laptop and I encountered some difficulty with my OpenGL settings back with SU 6. I just have to use some of the lower settings and it seems to work fine.

Re: TwilightRender SketchyPhysics Animation

I have seen some of that before, though not all of it. Shareck is definitely a SketchyPhysics expert! That's an awesome tank. Good job on the audio (though I expected a cannon sound when the gun fired :D )

Great IES lighting, great texturing!

Re: Camera Animation Problem

When SketchUp animates between frames, it doesn't animate the point of focus correctly. Instead of interpolating between focus points from scene A to scene B, it pretends the focus point is a fixed distance from the camera. This seriously screws up any render with Depth Of Field. So Twilight animate...

Re: Curtain

The curtains, especially in the second image, look great! Good job.
The picture on the wall in the first seems strangely muted.

And yes, translucent materials do add a lot of time to the render.
