if you want more fun and instantaneously perfect lighting for product photography...
load a studio HDR like one of these into your spherical sky, and adjust sky brightness to taste.
also may adjust exposure in Camera tab during render. but best to wait until render is complete.

Re: New renders of new 2.5D+ trees...
Tom, do you provide them with the fall colors and the green in the pack?
Individual renders of each tree may help people appreciate them. (with a distant and close-up view in the same image... like you did w/ the bush pack)

Re: Twilight renders a video almost as fast as SketchUp
Seems to work okay, granted this is a simple scene. For some reason my Twilight has switched to Demo mode and installing it again does not help, it gives me an error when doing a license request. Is today Monday? as it feels like one. http://img706.imageshack.us/img706/6238/testtwilightanimation.gi...

Re: Mapping textures to curved corners
Well... I can get it to map somewhat acceptably except that the wood material you are using is not seamless and that makes it a challenge. it appears the material itself goes from light to dark. this is funny... I can get it to look basically like this reference... which ALSO looks bad! desk-...
