Re: How Fast Are You - Official Twilight Scene - Bauhaus Lam

Re: CHALLENGE: Lamp shade/glass material
Thank you for posting the scene and that mini tutorial. this may have just saved me a great deal of frustration. Congratulations on your progress BTW.
You have accomplished some things I can only dream of until I get my quadcore built (someday). Anyway, truly inspiring work, my friend.

After rendering, straighten the verticals in Photoshop or similar program. When you build a curved object in SU, if you can see the segments in SU you will se...

Re: Rendering my Flat
You wont be having a party in there anytime soon will you mate? ;) Actually, You'd be surprised. We hosted a dinner party last night with no problem. The Living room is quite large, and the tiny, I mean, cramped, ermm...cozy kitchen is actually ok to work in--alone! For the frig- try the Meta...

Re: Rendering my Flat

I already rounded the corners and edges on everything that has rounded corners or edges IRL. The cabinets and countertop certainly don't, as my bruise collection can demonstrate. The fridge...

Re: Finally!
Thanks, Fletch. :) I agree the white IS washed out and could use some detail. With the other stuff I have been doing, there is plenty of detail. With this though, I was trying to achieve a very specific look. The style of the cover art from that period tended to be that way. Here are a couple...

Finally!
After a year of working with Twilight, I am finally turning out renders I feel comfortable showing to the rest of the community. And here is the first of several...I was going for an early to mid 80's sci-fi book cover feel with this, and I think I got it. I do have some problems with the spherical ...

Re: Transparent Light Emitters-Is this possible?
had two more images, had to split the post. Sorry. And that basically defines what I was trying to do. I want the LEM to do it's job and put out some visible light, so it looks like a high intensity light source, but I also want it to function as it supposedly does with regard to windows.Oh, and if ...
