Thanks They are a cloud texture set to be a fake emitter. Fletch commented on it here. viewtopic.php?f=11&t=5704

This is the most recent crash. I guess this is what you meant. I also reduced the texture by 1/2 as you mentioned.

After a crash if I restart SU and render again it works no problem. Something I can live with.

Fletch I'm not seeing the Diagnostics tool on my Mac I tried to upload a crash log from the Options/ Log but the "Add files" wouldn't allow it.
