I set the cloud material to be a fake emitter as Fletch mentioned but I keep getting crashes but say only 80% of the time I've changed materials and model components but can't see anything consistent going...

If you want to stay with Mac look for a 3.1 ghz or higher, quad core IMac or Mac Pro. with 4,6,12 cores Twilight takes use of the no. of cores and processors speed

I've used an App called Caffeine or Don't Sleep. Now I just do like tuna57 and just don't let it go to sleep (doesn't hurt the IMac) just set the screen saver to what ever you like.

Another update. I used the Fur plugin for the grass. The next step is to start modeling the left side of the resort which there are very few photos on the net and the only plan that I can find is actually Google satellite views.

I'm not seeing that option on my Mac?

What render setting are you using? Best with Easy 09
