I have several surfaces that all use the same color but I want them to have different render characteristics i.e. shinny, flat, eggshell and so on. If I duplicate that color and now I have the name "copy" and try to paint a surface with that color no mater what I do it seems to revert back...

I have changed the template on this rear glass to look realistic but can't seen to figure it out. If I use Architectural realistic glass of course it's clear even though the SU color is dark. In this screen shot I used Plastic gloss which I know is incorrect also.

Yes it can be confusing and I control viability in SU using the scenes, items to hide like vegetation { a lot really has effect on working in the model} and NEVER turn on shadows with vegetation showing ahh what a mess. I have a model that would take 10-12 hours w/ vegetation 160-200 passes for Easy...
