IT virtually has tooo many things to put in action when rendering.... I believe that rendering is a sort of virtual photography. I learned a lot.

My suggestion is what I myself did: Model a real image, pay careful attention to all details and textures, add and adjust materials and lights and then try rendering so that it gets very close to the real image. I used to do all my university projects by hand and mainly watercolors and was influenced by Thomas W.Schaller. Unfortunately, none of them are available.
