Re: Volumetric Lighting - Special Material (Light Beams)
In another thread I explained my struggle with multiple semi-transparent screens. Now I thought I could solve this with the new volumetric materials... :fanfare: In priciple it does work, yes, but there has to be a minimum of volume for scattering (thats what I conclude from my testing), which means...

Re: Volumetric Lighting - Special Material (Light Beams)
Yup, here is the two components of the moving lights i used (fixture is from WH). The textures I've got from a library but totally forgot if they are free to use. Motives for gobos you can get from Lee filters, they have a huge library: http://www.leefilters.com/lighting/products/gobos/ (btw : just ...

Re: Volumetric Lighting - Special Material (Light Beams)
Good idea to separate this into a new thread, I was just wondering where to continue (at this point: thanks to xrok1 for starting a wishlist!)... Yes, volumetrics work with Easy 08 too, but with render times I am a bit confused. Ok, scattering takes very long and you have to be patient. Apart from t...

Re: Wishlist!
Chris, sorry for speaking too loud, but I have to say that: !!!YOU ROCK!!! :rspkt: :gj:  Anyone still believe Santa is one of a kind? Come to Twilight and you get showered with presents for just writing a tiny wishlist. I am so exited and overwhelmed that I doubt I can sleep tonight. This was ...

Re: Wishlist!
woah, thanks Chris, can't wait to play with it... What is really cool is that you can modify materials this way. I tested before on all SSS templates with no luck. Not sure about the render speed of this "method" - i have tried to render only the beams of 42 spotlights (all other geometry ...

Re: Wishlist!
Sorry, should have said : Easy 2. Low Here is the skippy for you to test with. I dont see much potential in this because there is a lot of strong sparkling and stuff, really hard to control. Also when there is geometry behind the beam it interrupts the effect immediately - anyway still very interest...

Volumetric Lighting - Special Material (Light Beams)
hi, i have read on Kerkythea forum that KT is able to do volumetric lighting... to me this is a very intresting feature, but until now I couldn't find the time to explore the KT universe... Am I assuming right that when KT can do volumetrics, there is a chance to see this feature in a future release...

Re: House and Pool
Wow, amazing work Fletch! What do you mean, these renders are not photorealistic? You did the arrangement so well, everything seems totally natural. The lanterns might need a tiny reflection, but apart from that, it is perfect for me. Next level would be inserting the shadow of the photographer... ;...
