I think it looks more appropriate like the last version. I would also expect low tek detailing with rough sawn wood. End of rafters should be visible with angle brackets supporting them. Cool render Gaieus. The only thing which I would crit are eaves. I do not believe they would be build like those. You would see some timber rafters which would carry the roof . I also, possibly, question the type of tiles.
Grass does look very convincing. Do you mind showing SU monochrome.

Fletch I supose one could actually find the most predominant colour and use it instead of black to reduce impact of any reflection mistakes.

Oli... I am not sure that I understand what you mean by keeping the scale of the image the same. The thickness of the black frame is thinner at the top and bottom than sides.. Would enlarging the canvas size equally do the trick? Have you discovered some sort of rule of thumb in terms of enlargement?
