Re: Render crashes Sketchup
I have recently had a similar problem only on some files. I can run one render. If I decide to stop it, and start again, the renderer stalls SketchUp at "resetting render engine" and I have to force quit. I am usually using Easy 09 and 10 settings. This seems like a new problem. Only the l...

Re: External Graphics cards
Thanks. Rendering doesn't use the GPU?
Generally I see the caveat to ask developers if the their software can utilize external GPUs.
I have got to get much faster renders.

Re: How would you do this light.
Thanks. I only remembered that the emitter would not slow down easy 09 , but I guess there is no reason for the shade to emit in this case. I adjusted the shade down and the lights up to get the appearance of the light source behind the shade, sideboard.png Now I guess I need to get some things to p...

How would you do this light.
How would you set the light value and shade for this light? I have it set a little low as it was mostly decorative for the scene but I was surprised how low I had to set it to keep it from being overwhelmingly bright. How would you set real world parameters without it being too bright? Somehow it di...

Re: HDR output.
I found the same thing in Photomatix Pro. Open and save, and it can then open in GIMP.

Re: HDR output.
I'll see if I can find another editor and if that makes things work more nicely. I think there is an advantage in PP here. I like the control I have seen with other HDR in GIMP. In addition, I can experiment with compositing different exposures from Twilight. Thanks for checking this out!

Re: HDR output.
I downloaded an hdr and a exr from that site and I can see the advantage in GIMP. I can adjust exposure and other color enhancements easily and keep a crisp image without bad side effects. attached is an image from Twilight that shows black in GIMP.

Re: HDR output.
With postpro set to none, I still get a solid black image in GIMP. Must be something with GIMP and Twilight's brand of HDR.
