Re: Kitchen Remodel (Light problem)

I agree... omni lights should not be used as "light bulbs", but rather as "ambient lights" placed in the middle of the room. In reality, all lights can be reduced to "Spot Lights", including light bulbs. But the hotspot and the falloff are really wide (more than 180 - 2...

No tapatalk access for TwilightRender forum ?

Hy, it seems that twilightrender forum is not present on tapatalk, or i just could not find it.
If there is another option for mobile, please let me know... desktop website loads fine, but all the time needs zooming and paning, because the layout is not made for mobile screen.
Thanks.

Re: How can I keep the dimension lines on renderings?

Export a file with only the dimension lines and a white background and combine them in a image editor (you can use the dimension image as alpha mask in that image editor).

Re: Circuit Board...

Impressive !
You may want to try another render with less glossy plastics and aluminium (for capacitors)... But especially plastic seem too glossy. Take a look to a real motherboard, see how the plastic is ;)
Other than that, I'm just impressed ! :rspkt:

Sometime Easy10 is the droid you are looking for...

I'm using IES lights for this scene and I rendered them both with Easy9 and Easy10, to compare the differences... and you can see them here. They are subtle but very powerful.

Re: How to add a logo to a wall

First you need the wall. One cannot add a logo on a wall if the wall is missing. Second, you need the logo. And you need to know how the logo is supposed to look (painted, or relief, carved... depends) Third... you need to know how big will be the logo. Then are several procedures depending on what ...

Re: Question about Twilight Light color

I can see the advantage in that. The challenge is of course, many people accidentally or on purpose paint entire groups with a color, while they are not thinking about how it could effect the light color for the lamp that is inside of the group or component. But the advantage is also there, to make...

Question about Twilight Light color

Trying to change the color of a Twilight Light, I edited the material color, in Sketchup Materials list, but it seems to not affect the actual color of the light. Only editing it in Light Editor is changing it. I was hoping it will depend on material's color, because I wanted to make a DC component ...

Another test:

Also, the geometry of the IES spotlight:
-as Twilight Light Editor doesn't allow smaller light than 2.5mm radius, I scaled the geometry manually inside the component

Re: Quick reference about IES files(to understand what's ins

yes, try loading it into a tiny spot light, make sure to make the radius of the light an accurate scale. (very tiny) and then load the ies file you created into the spot light. Can't do it "very accurate" because you limited the Spot Light RADIUS to 2.5mm (that's a 5mm diameter). Unless y...
