rendering smoke , fog , atmosphere etc in twilight

Post by Captaineasy » Sat Apr 10, 2021 12:41 am

Do any of you twilight pros have any guides or tutorials for rendering atmospheric effects in twilight?

I have a feeling its possible playing around with the volumetric light features and using a really big light instead of the sun.

any help or advice appreciated

There is a "Volumetric" material template in Twilight Render's Materials.
You must apply that to a volume that contains your objects.

They contain scenes for you to download and test to help understand how volumetric lighting works.

The scene will likely work even without the library installed.
Twilight V2 now has a "Volumetrics" template that you can test on this scene.
Simply apply the various Volumetric template materials to the SketchUp material called "Volumetrics" and render with the Sun-Sky render presets for good results. Quick test render using Easy 02-04 render presets.

Download the test scene here.
