Render a View Looking at the Ceiling?

Post by ADdesign97 » Mon Sep 19, 2022 6:14 pm

Hello,
I am trying to render a large space with a high ceiling. I cannot get a view that captures the space and the ceiling. I have tried to change the resolution size, but the camera (tilt?) is the same. I want the view to be ever-so-slightly looking up at the ceiling. Would focal length or film size have any effect on that? I haven't noticed a change. I have also tried to use the view tool but it seems that I still have the same issue, the camera stares flat ahead.

This is what I'm trying to achieve, but in a nice rendered format:
preferred view.PNG
preferred view.PNG (1010.14 KiB) Viewed 2441 times

And here's what I get. And another one when I change the resolution size to be "more vertical".
McCarty Renders_Retail 3.jpg
McCarty Renders_Retail 3.jpg (1.93 MiB) Viewed 2441 times
McCarty Renders_Retail 3.3.jpg
McCarty Renders_Retail 3.3.jpg (1.66 MiB) Viewed 2441 times
Please help! Also any other tips would be greatly appreciated!

If you set your view to 2-point perspective, you can NOT pan the view afterwards, then save the scene. Twilight will not render a panned 2-point perspective. It is not supported by the underlying engine.

There is a 99% chance that this is the issue.

1. position a new camera view
2. create scene tab for the new camera
3. enable 2 point perspective in SketchUp
4. do NOT adjust position of camera after enabling 2 point perspective - this is not supported in Twilight Render's engine.
5. update the scene tab in sketchUp by righ-clicking the scene tab and choose "update"
6. render scene

Thank you. I seem to be getting better resolutions with this method.
