Render to texture | transparency between pieces problem

Post by Centurion » Wed Jul 11, 2018 2:29 pm

Hi, i'm using twiligt render for Texture Baking in SketchUp
When i'm doing this on Mac everything is good and space between peaces is transparenet as it should be in PNG, but same procedure on WIn. works in another way, spaces are black in the end, i'm using same render presets and textures settings
Adding screenshot with PNG texture setting on Windows
Please, let me know if you have any ideas

If you are getting black lines along edges, you probably either need to use a larger image size or you can try using a larger curvature threshold (if the lines are occurring on a curved surface). Why the difference between OSX and Windows, I don't know. It is probably floating point rounding error or some other small mathematical difference.

I always get black between the faces, not transparency, in the gaps between the texture for the face when rendering with Render to Texture for Twilight Render.

This is just how it works on Windows.
For large surfaces in your model, try rendering textures at 2048 resolution, not 1024, the results will look better.
Render Preset>Advanced>AlternativeAA>04b is a good render setting for render-to-texture.
