Spot Light Renders Different With Same Settings

Post by JGolden » Wed Jan 16, 2019 3:33 pm

I have spot lights in two different files with the same settings and same Environment settings.
But I get very different results.

That is the reflection of the light object onto the ceiling material that you are seeing.
Your material for the ceiling is different in both scenes. One is more shiny than the other, hence, the different look.

I suggest using spot lights instead of point lights, as the spot lights are not calculated in the specular reflection algorithm... and don't show up in the reflections of the material. Problem goes away.
