Rendering time

Post by zarnollistudio » Fri Dec 06, 2019 8:38 am

Good Morning,

I hereby enclose my work, so someone can help me for detecting what is wrong with my sketchup file.
I have analysed each component to see if there is reversed faces, or too many faces ... I have changed lights, by using emitters instead of ies files... rendering remains slow, so slow, and even with Easy 1.

Where is the problem ?

By the way, I have also tried to contact Fletcher by private message, my messages remain in the OUTBOX and not go to SENT MESSAGES, something wrong too ?

Thank you in advance and have a good day !

Chantal

In this video, it is noted that LEM's --light emitting materials--take longer and are only recommended for lighting in Easy 09 or 10. The video has other pointers for lighting and speed.

As pbacot says, you should never use light emitters with anything other than the unbiased presets (9,10)(10,11). And even then, they will render slower in almost every case.

As far as your scene, it appears that you did not attach it.

I thought 09 was OK too. For some things emitters are necessary. (and fake emitters are helpful too).

Sorry, I accidentally used the wrong numbers. (I corrected my original post.)

Good Morning pbacot,

Many thanks for you answer. I was using light emitting materials, further a recommandation.
And now, I still wonder what would be the right light to use, for this Christmas lights string.
Hope, my Christmas tree can be ready before the 25th :D

Of course I will check the video you recommanded.

Sincerely Yours.

Good morning Chris,

I thank you too, for your message.
Regarding light emitters, I have chosen this further to a recommandation.
I wonder now, what would be the best for my "Christmas work".

As I said to pbacot, I hope I can make it before the 25h of december :D

I am trying to send again my file. It is a rar. file.
The skp. file cannot be transfered because too large. (maybe something wrong again).

Sincerely Yours.

I can send the skp. file by "wetransfer", but I need an email address.
