Is there a way to quickly adjust texture to get less repeats.
The texture on the siding is pretty good but somehow all the "boards" ended up showing the same part of the texture. They are NOT components, it is all one object. I repainted some by hand but that reverted as I was working on the geometry--looking for a faster way. (randomizing component texture would be nice too, if someone has secret method on that).

Re: randomize texture position
Did you try the Template>Floor>Wood ? I think it's what you want.
It's use is demonstrated with Template>Floor>Tile in the Materials video here:

Re: randomize texture position
Thanks,
Is that translatable to deep materials? I used multiple images for Spec, normal etc. Not really necessary in this case.

Re: randomize texture position
apply template
then choose "convert to deep"
then choose "convert to deep"
Re: randomize texture position
Thank you. Seeing that video, which I have probably seen before, is great. First time around I probably didn't absorb most of it.
It seems that texture randomization might be useful in other templates. I applied it to the gravel I was using to get rid of tiling, but It doesn't show well in the exploration render, and I don't quite know how the different settings affect it.
By the way I noticed when I applied a standard SU gravel, Twilight automatically gave it a template "natural" and appled a bump map. I didn't know that feature before. When I made it a floor and reset bump as "texture", it found that same bump map.
