Geometry not getting rendered

My model isn't getting rendered, only my HDMI sky back pic. Is this a common occurrence? It seems after I tweak my model and go back to render, only my bg shows and I have to restart Sketchup for it to render properly.

In the Render Dialog there is an "update content" area - have you changed any of these settings about layers to render or content to update?

It sounds like Swingrays problem only happens when trying a subsequent render. This would be good to know. I tried the renders and the file seemed OK. However I don't have his presets.

I could see the Twilight feature that allows de-selection of layers within the rendering window being a culprit, but that seems hard to do without being aware of it.
