New user trouble with some materials

Post by nrobertson692 » Tue Jun 09, 2020 7:44 pm

I'm new to the rendering work in general but want to make my SketchUp images for work look a bit more presentable. I'm going through some same cross sections I created for other purposes as practice, and one of the things I ran into really early is an oddity with OSB materials. When I render, some of the OSB edges seem to look more like tin foil, and I can't seem to fix it by adjusting lighting, shininess, or IOR. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Please put model in monochrome view and be sure faces are not reversed.
Paint only front faces.
