Well, it took a lot of "fooling around" but I finally got the AlphaMask feature to work. I actually had to use Gimp and another tool (did not learn how to do some things in Gimp yet) but here is an image I created where I used the alpha mask to create a couple of images with a transparent background. I then combined them in Xara with a silly color background just to show that I got it to work. Here is the image: Gotta do some more learning in Gimp so I can do the whole process there. Hope you guys like this one.

Was your input that got me interested in this. Wish I would have known how to do this sooner. I can see many uses for this approach. You have also peaked my interest in learning Gimp. Just proves that retirement does mean we cannot still learn and have some fun.

One last post (at least in this thread ) after doing a little bit more playing around. Still have a ways to go to learn GIMP better.
