Dirty & Cloudy/Obscured Glass

Hello all,

Just wondering if you can help me ... I'm modelling a Victorian pub in my city and would like to model the window glass as well as I can, so I guess my question is two fold ....

1) How can I make the window glass appear dirtier and grimier than our nice modern glass?

and

2) The bottom 3 window panes on each of the front of sets of windows on the front of the building appear to be clouded/obscured - is it possible to achieve a similar effect from TWR?

Subject: How to render dirty glass and other contaminants

for the obscured glass... looks like the bottom 3 panes were just painted white. which means you would just do so in your rendering, instead of using glass material, just use the Template>Paint, correct?

No, use them in Kerkythea's material lab. I've not looked at the tutorial Fletch pointed to, but I've made similar materials in KT long time ago.
