No lights in light tool dialog
No lights in light tool dialog
Hi all
I just installed new 2.5 version (SU 2016) And have no lights when I open the Light tool.
What's happen? Did anyone have the same issue?

Re: No lights in light tool dialog
You need to choose a light from the menu 'Lights' or add a new light with the light tool (which is automatically active when you activate the editor). The light editor has always worked that way but if you have a light already selected in your SU scene, that light will be displayed in the editor, so it's easy to miss.

Thanks!
Sorry I later found out by myself and wanted to delete my post. Just didn't touch twilight for a while and forgot how to set the lights

Re: No lights in light tool dialog
I have the same problem, but when I choose "lights", the fly-out just say "none" and the toolbar only contains 5x icons: Render, Environment, Create light, Template materials and scene view. The tutorials I've seen show a toolbox with different light types as well.
What am I doing wrong and how can it be fixed?

Re: No lights in light tool dialog
The tutorial here explains how to edit lights:
https://www.twilightrender.com/index.ph ... utorial-v2
The problem for most users is they miss the part where you click in the scene (3 times) to create a light, before you can edit the light in the editor.

Re: No lights in light tool dialog
This issue is almost always because you don't have a light selected to edit.
Re: No lights in light tool dialog
no, not like that. usually; Before rendering i define the materials and adding lights. This is my ordinary way. But now i cant add light. When opening the light box, box is empty. There is no light option. I know using that dialog box. but now it is empty.
Re: No lights in light tool dialog
can you use screen-to-gif and record this problem and post so we can see it demonstrated please? We are not sure we are understanding. If this were happening to a lot of people we would imagine it would be reported more often. If there's a bug we want to fix it. Thanks for your help.
